Gunman Arrested For Attempted Murder After Baltimore Shooting: Police

A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following last week’s domestic-related shooting in Baltimore.

Antawn Venable, 45, of Baltimore, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, police announced on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Baltimore Police say the 39-year-old female victim walked into a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2.

A follow-up investigation determined that the shooting occurred on the 5000 block of Midwood Avenue.

Venable was identified and located near the 1000 block of East 33rd Street before being taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility around 1:30 a.m., police said.
